Cushman & Wakefield plc is a global commercial real estate services firm. The company operates from approximately 400 offices in 60 countries, has around 50,000 employees and manages about 4.1 billion square feet of commercial space. It is one of the “Big Three” commercial real estate services companies, alongside CBRE and JLL.
Inaccessible roof inspection, especially in commercial and busy town and city centres can be challenging. Traditional techniques using cherry pickers is complex and costly when compared to drone imagery. We worked with Cushman and Wakefield to develop a B2B relationship which provided a preferential pricing model and rapid call-out service so that they could pass on best value to their clients and customers. We are also able to save the need for them to send a surveyor each time to the site, by remotely providing the documentation.
Saved time + money by using remote assessment and not having to send a surveyor
Fixed the communication and information gaps for remote assessment
Our 24hr turnaround of outputs meant that data could be quickly analysed
Enabled the creation of a detailed, evidenced client report at a lower cost
Versus the traditional ground/roof based data capture time of weeks or even months for large assets, saving days / weeks
Versus ground or roof top inspections with ropes, scaffold and towers our aerial capture tools are “zero-touch”
Versus traditional manual inspection costs by removing the expense of prolonged capture time, travel time and repeated in-person site visits
Versus the traditional survey which does not “see” all of the asset from all aspects and elevations
Versus ground/roof based surveys with limited access and finite resolution, allowing pinpoint accuracy across whole digital twin
Versus the traditional 2D paper based reports and images which have limited access, coverage and quality
Cushman and Wakefield chose to work with South West Aerial Surveys Ltd for a number of reasons. We have substantial experience in de-risking our operations through our bespoke flight planning systems and our extensive flying hours. In complex and higher-risk environments we always use an multi-person team and have capacity for different types of survey and inspection work in a range of locations. We carry £5 million public legibility insurance and have a team of commercial drone pilots working under our Operational Authorisation which is regulated and annually audited by the CAA.
