This complex and challenging project is very high profile. InView Assets have provided 3D precision reality twins which allow different stakeholders to track condition and progress – all from the comfort of their desk. This has supported the aspirations of the zero-carbon hub by vastly reducing travel and journeys.
Very high-resolution 3D precision reality twins of both the inside and outside of the buildings. This enables better planning and project assessment
Cost-effective, quicker and safer way of producing point cloud models (compared to ground-based LiDAR) and data ready for AutoDesk and the production of CAD drawings
Cloud-based 3D models and image outputs were easily shared with different stakeholders (reducing the carbon footprint of visits). This is using Bently I-Twin, Trendspek and Matterport platforms
Repeated captures enabled progress to be tracked over time
Versus the traditional ground/roof-based data capture time of days or weeks
Versus ground or rooftop inspections with ropes, scaffold and towers our aerial capture tools are “zero-touch”
Versus traditional manual survey costs by removing the expense of prolonged capture time, travel time and repeated in-person site visits
Versus the traditional survey which does not “see” all of the asset from all aspects and elevations (especially complex roofs)
Versus ground/roof-based surveys with limited access and finite resolution, allowing pinpoint accuracy across the whole digital twin and the development of CAD-ready outputs
Versus the traditional 2D paper-based reports and images which have limited access, coverage and quality
